in spite of all of the hysterics, I don't believe abortion will eve actually be outlawed.  I could see more restrictions based on viability, but they don't like to go back and totally undo something they did before.

Even if Roe was overturned, wouldn't that just mean each state creates its own laws on the matter?  In other words, California would have much more liberal abortion laws than Texas.

Absolutely - which is what Conservatives are okay with.  Let each state decide - as it was intended.

Let's get this straight, your thoughts are credible 'cause they come from you???

Surely you realize you're a free-thinking liberal-minded lunatic, don't you?

I was thinking more MSM, twitter, protests, etc.  The collective liberal world losing its mind, and I just don't believe it will be outright overturned.

I think some states will advance more restrictive laws, and those will allowed to be put in place.  All these morons playing patty cakes in the park to appease themselves, well, are morons.

I agree with your positions here, but not so long ago you were calling me a religious zealot loser for saying some of the same things, and telling me to drop my opposition to abortion.

E: Rape does not justify abortion.  It is an outlying case.

Mike, I often get asked questions about the Koran..........And, by Folks who know nothing about the Koran and folks who do know a bit about it...........Some folks don't know that the text of the original writing of the Koran was changed and re-written...........The remaining older versions were ordered to be burned...........Those who do know won't mention this..........

A search on the following subject matter will educate those who want to know the truth............

Quote:
'Uthmaan sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur'aanic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt.

And your bible was never amended? How can you be sure? 2000 years is a long time.

The Dead Sea scrolls and other early manuscripts that have been found match the Bible perfectly...........

The early version of the Koran and the present version don't match..............That's not a secret..........

Not true at all.

I have said that demanding candidates take 100% stance that says they will make abortion illegal day zero is merely asking to have candidates that will lose.

It is clear from all polling for 50 some years.  80% of America believes you cannot criminalize women that have abortions, day zero.  80% of America also believes that abortion must be restricted in specific ways, 20 weeks for instance, etc.  Ignoring these facts seems merely be waste of time that both far right and far left seem to enjoy way too much.

Show me something that is two sided in what I say.

Any moral relativism you may see from me is probably just my view of what is practically accomplishable.   Spending loads of time on things that will just never happen is just not my game, so I pass on those activities.

Like admitting trump is a liar and a menace to our society? He lies and you scour the internet for reasons he's not. Look for both sides and you'll become more credible. I quit following your links because they seldom bore any resemblance to the point you were trying to make.

Democratic SCOTUS eruption scheduled for 9:05 PM EDT.  Trump announces at 9pm.  Unfortunately for Dems they leaked out all of their talking points.   They will errupt in a frenzy, applying their talking points to the resume of Trumps picks:
- End of Roe v Wade
- End of ACA.
- End of the world.

Like some have talked about earlier, should the pick be Barrett or do you all have another preference?

There's no guarantee she'll retire soon so wouldn't it be better to appoint the woman now?

Anyways, like has been discussed here, I don't see a conservative majority court completely outlawing abortion.

When it comes to the other major social issue, gay rights, do you think the new court will do a hard reversal on that like some liberals are afraid of?  I personally don't see that either.  IMO, they won't take away gay marriage, but they probably would allow stuff like bakers and wedding photographers to decline to participate in those ceremonies.

I don’t disagree - just what I heard.

On a side note, will Dewey be tuning in? What’s the over/under on his first post?

Barrett is reportedly still at home in Indiana so sounds like she's out. Has a new thread for this SCOTUS pick been created yet? I didn't see one.
