Yep. Clerked for Scalia, that's good. The People of Praise oath and her religious perspectives may be an issue that gets ginned up by the rabid dems.

Amul Thapar seems qualified too, how about him?

As for female picks, Larsen might be a better pick than Barrett since wiki said Larsen got confirmed by a slightly larger margin for her current post than Barret.  So it might be a slightly easier fight with her.

Rapid Dems who don't believe religious nuts should be interpreting the constitution and laws of the land? Why, it's shocking that anyone would oppose some nut who believes in a children's fantasy book and stories about a great bearded, omniscient entity in the sky making important legal decisions! If you believe in fantasies, you, ipso facto, don't care much about facts. But that is the state of conservatism nowadays--being taken over by the freaks.

People of faith are the loons--they believe in nonsense because they can't deal with the reality of their mortality. Hence the comforting kids' notion that when we die we'll all go to "heaven"--it's a "better place," you know. But the baddies will go to "hell" and burn. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Good grief. No wonder you guys voted for Trump. And some think America is an advanced society. We're the opposite--Trump supporters (who include christians who support a loathsome man because he gives them what they want in exchange for their vote) prove that.

Big bang.  Sure.  The entire mass of the universe collapses into a single point.  May have happened.  Where did that mass come from?  Ah, may have been energy.  Ok, where did all that energy come from?  

Hawking: "Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist,” he wrote in The Grand Design. “It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going.”

Einstein believed in a God, or a god or a creator.  

Anyway it all come from somewhere.  I know after holding my first child in my arms that it is magical and it is special.  Too bad for you that it is only anger and despair.  In my short history on this earth, that never ends well.

Trump owes some steaks and vodka and maybe a couple of suits to Kennedy.  Probably the biggest gift he's ever received.  Except maybe for Comey's - he deserves some steaks, too.

I feel a bigger one coming one.   Ginsberg kicks it in the next 6 months, 20 some months, Trump could go 3 fer.   That would get everyone excited.

"If Trump picks not one, but two reliable conservative justices, he will secure the best record of Supreme Court appointments by any modern Republican president.

Liberals understand exactly what is at stake. That means whomever Trump picks will face a barrage of attacks unprecedented even by the standards of past confirmation brawls. But thanks to the Democrats' imprudent decisions to break precedent and change Senate rules to confirm lifetime appointments to the federal circuit court under President Barack Obama, and then to filibuster Gorsuch, Senate Republicans need only a simple majority to confirm Trump's choice. So long as Republican senators stick together, Trump's nominee will be confirmed.

Already some Democrats are protesting that the Senate should not confirm a Supreme Court justice during a midterm election year. Sorry, the Senate confirmed Obama appointee Elena Kagan in August 2010, just before the midterm elections -- and did so with a bipartisan 63-to-37 vote.

Democrats are grasping at straws because the timing couldn't be worse for them as they seek to gain control of the Senate in November. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has announced that the confirmation vote will take place in the fall, which would put Kennedy's replacement on the bench when the court's new term begins on the first Monday in October.

For all these reasons, Trump's appointee is likely to be confirmed. If that happens, Trump will have led one of the most consequential conservative presidencies in modern American history. Not only is Trump expanding the conservative Supreme Court majority, he is also moving at record pace to fill the federal appeals courts with young conservative judges who will preside for decades. Imagine if it were Clinton making all these appointments. The consequences for human life, religious liberty, the Second Amendment and limited government would have been disastrous."

Great point.

Apparently she gets drunky for the Presidents State of the Union speeches cause she cannot handle it.  The picture below, rumor was she was so hammered she passed out.

Trumpy should hold SOTU twice a week until the old bird drinks herself into the grave. 

Pick #3.  We be rollin 6-3 at that point and could get away with anything we want.

Left would only have 2 options.  Submit to our will.  Civil war.  Which is it, pick just one?

Assuming Trump puts forth a name soon, could this person actually get confirmed by the Senate before the election?
