My guess is, based on the negative reaction of our allies, the fact we've already added millions of jobs, and the growing economy, these tariffs weren't even necessary.  In fact, they may be a big mistake if they stifle the economy going forward.  One might ask why we chose to increase the cost of goods for all Americans in this low unemployment environment?  I'm not an economist, and I don't play one on TV, so I don't really know for sure.  That said, I'm far more confident there isn't one reader out there who believes individuals saw a 500% increase in their health insurance premiums, and understand, thanks to no supporting links, you're likely embellishing as you often do.

Obama -  "When I say if you have your plan and you like it, and your doctor has a plan -- or you have a doctor and you like your doctor, that you don't have to change plans, what I'm saying is the government is not going to make you change plans under health reform."

After being subjected to our first black President being called a liar, over and over, black Americans must fume when they hear the angry Right say they don't care about this President failing to be straight with the American people.  Can anyone blame them?  Trump should be honest with the American people.

Dewey now rambling from one topic to another with no plan, no message, nothing of value to add.  Typical.

That’s the Obama doctrine. We have too much. More than our “fair share”. And of course it was all ill gotten.
That’s why Dewey says we have low UE so we don’t need to grow business anymore. That’s not fair to the rest of the world.

People are often disappointed in the "youth of today."  I get to deal with some pretty special young people and living in Small Town USA, I also know most of their parents.  Last night, the wife and I had to do some running around and then take care of the horses.  There was a horse show at the barn/stables today and so, last night, my wife wanted to make sure we had all of our stuff put away.  That way, it does not walk away.  LOL  We ate late at one of the local restaurants that employees many of my students.  My wife knows them as well.  We typically ask for one in particular to wait on us.  When she came to our table, my wife commented about how tired she looked.  She said she was worn out and had done the owner a favor and had basically worked a double shift.  (She did get some time between shifts to eat.)  After saying how tired she was, she mentioned to my wife that I know her dad and that, "when I think about how hard my dad works and in the heat all day, I can do this to help the family."  I told her that that is why she is one of our favorites and why we always ask for her.  There are times when I get down on the "youth of today" due to social media etc.  Then, I seem to always get pleasant surprises like this young lady and how her family means so much to her.   The youth of America is pretty special.

Talked to my dad today for Father's Day.  As I've mentioned before, my dad still lives where I grew up and that isn't a good place.  Dad asked me if I could find time this week to come up and help him with his garden.  That was an odd request since he loves doing it and mostly by himself.  Someone in that neighborhood drove some type of vehicle through his garden.  They killed at least 50 strawberry plants and all of his tomato plants.  I just don't understand.  Why would someone do that?

Sorry to hear that Coach.

I think much of what you see today is plain ole' lack of parenting.  My wife, as a teacher, sees it every day.  It's much easier to let your kids get away with things than to consistently set and keep the boundaries through their formative years.  We've become a lazy, handheld society and parents these days, in my opinion, don't have the strength and determination it takes to do the really hard work of parenting.

Maybe he needs something from you other than help with a garden. Just a thought from someone outside of the conversation.

Well, you might be right.  I wouldn't know what and we talk every week.  Still, I'll keep this in mind.

BTW, he does need for me to bring up 25 plants.  I have a strawberry garden here as well.  I can't help him with the tomatoes.  I only have two plants this year.  They are loaded and so, we will get him some fresh tomatoes.

Just what I was thinking. Wish your dad was my neighbor, I'd chat with him and get a make on that vehicle. Like to go pay that MF'r car driver a visit.

I just got back from the Doctor's office where I had a physical and set up the surgery to replace my right hip.  The Nurse that took my height and weight and told me there was an error.  I asked what it was.  She said you could not have lost that much weight in this amount of time.  I asked her how much.  She said 53 almost 54 lbs.  I told her I did do that.  The Doctor came in and the first thing he did was shake my hand and tell me that I have done something that is physically impossible.  He said that nobody can lose that much weight in that amount of time and have the blood test results that I had.  He said that when people do lose weight that dramatically, they end up destroying muscle and the blood test shows that they are malnourished and so, they can't have surgery.  He said my blood tests were absolutely perfect.  He shook my hand again saying that he had never had a patient like that.  He asked me how I did it and I told him.  He said when I left his office, I told him I would do it but he hears that so often that he didn't believe that I could do it.  He said that I am down 5 inches in size and that he would not have recognized me if he saw me out and about.  LOL

The reason I post this is that we all have this ability in us.  What we miss at times is the focus or the belief in ourselves.  I love my wife and she always believes in me.  We have been married 35 years now and I just don't know how she has stayed with me.  When I started losing weight and this came up, she told all of our friends that she had no doubt that I would do it and to never bet against me.  I stopped by her work and told her.  I think she was more happy than I was.

Finally, the Doctor gave me a packet and told me that he would write a script from pain medication.  I asked him what medication and he said ...  I told him that I will not take it so he can save himself the trouble.  He laughed and said our HS trainer told him I would not take pain medication.  I do have to get a walker but my dad still has my mom's walker and so, I'll get it.

One of my nephews, who is a former Marine and did 4 tours of service in Iraq and Afghanistan, is a  police officer in town.  If dad knows who the person is, my nephew will take care of things.  In Small Town USA, where I live, I also have a nephew on the police force.  I have a great family!

BTW, what's the highest mount in the Libtard republic of Cal?
