https://heatst.com/politics/gadsden-flag-racial-harassment/

The EEOC acknowledged that the flag did not originate with the Tea Party movement, and was created centuries ago “in a non-racial context.” However, the commission also found that the Gadsden Flag could be “interpreted to convey racially-tinged messages in some contexts,” citing as an example a 2014 shooting spree in which white supremacists draped Gadsden Flags over the bodies of two murdered police officers.

“Certainly, Complainant ascribes racial connotations to the symbol based on observations that it is sometimes displayed in racially-tinged situations,” the commission wrote.

The arbiter of everything 'racist' has spoken, the EEOC.  Their claim of tolerance is nothing but flatulence of the mouth/keyboard

That's a very damn good question.  I'll seek the opportunity to try it if I feel my space is invaded by racists

In talking to a parent of a young lady who graduated the same year my dd graduated HS, he said that his dd going to college is breaking the family.  He said that we have to get Clinton elected so that the college debt his dd has created will be forgiven.  I asked him why she was still in school.  She is going for her Masters and the Doctorate.  He said that she is a couple of HUNDRED THOUSAND IN DEBT.  What?  Who's fault is that?  My dd will also see a Masters but she will do so and pay for it as she goes.  This young lady lives in a fancy apartment complex and not in campus dorms.  She has a fancy car.  She just keeps racking up debt. I was so hacked off after this conversation.  The idea that people build up this type of debt and expect the government to bail them out just fries my grits.  His dd and mine have never run together and now I know why.

My daughter came home this weekend and we talked about her new job.  She is working as a Reading Specialist in a very neat school district.  That means she is a teacher but not a teacher.  IOWs, she is paid hourly, receives all of the benefits, but is not salaried and hired as a permanent teacher.  She is happy and that is all that really counts.  We asked about her pay and hours since we do have to take care of an apartment and all that goes with it.  She is being paid a decent hourly wage.  However, she is not working a full 40 hour week. Instead, she is just under it.  She said that the district is worried about the new laws regarding overtime and so, she has been told when to leave and that she has to leave the school and not go back to her classroom.  On the first day, she told one of the ladies that she wanted to go back and work and didn't want pay.  NOPE!  With financing being what they are in a school district, I fully understand and support the school's position.  Still, this new law is preventing people from even doing what they want to do for fear of violating this new law.

A good story.  When I was working my way through college, I worked in all kinds of factories on midnight shift.  In doing so, I met an immigrant who had come to the United States legally from El Salvador.  In fact, he was a political refugee and had been tortured before escaping to the United States.  He and I were partners in our job as we had to work together to straighten huge pieces of aluminum for ...  (I really can't say what they were for since I had to sign an agreement.)  I remember the day he became a U.S. Citizen.  Anyway, I was talking to some buddies who used to work there.  That factory has been moved to Mexico.  They told me he has a son and his son went to Harvard.  My buddy not only worked in that factory but also went around the country giving lectures at colleges about South American countries and torture.  He saved up his money to support his family.  That is what we have to offer as a country.  We have to fix this immigration debacle so our country can offer these types of opportunities to those   Dago, congratulations!

Socially indoctrinating young children toward accepting transgenderism is rampant today in public schools. In Washington state, public schools will begin teaching gender expression to kindergarteners in fall 2017, under newly approved health education learning standards. The gay advocacy network GLSEN received a grant from the federal Centers for Disease Control in 2011 for $1.425 million over five years to promote the LGBT agenda in public schools at taxpayers’ expense.

Unbelievable.  Try to instruct about heterosexuals and you'll get blasted by the liberal PC crowd.

Talk to most 16 year kids and they believe being "trans" is normal. If that's not a sign of the times I don't know what is.

Can confirm lgbtq education at kindergarten now.  Stooopid books that lay out some the basic theme that some kids are different.  Johny sometimes like to play dollies and wear dresses.  Not just that is ok, but that is something to be celebrated, that Johnie is superior somehow.

Time college rolls around all they can get into is gender studies at local state college.  Then they move back into parents basement and spend a surprising amount of time stopping me and bestowing the values of global warming, or whatever agenda they are on that day. I try to run them over with my suburban, but they are just fast enough.  They are such nice people that they take it as friendly.

We have no one to blame but ourselves . This needed to be stopped long ago before the liberal pukes took over our schools.
Got to hand it to the libtards, they had a plan and executed it while we had our junk in our hands.

This is what it's come to.  Refuse to bake a cake for a gay wedding based on your religious views and you get sued.  Refuse to bake a cake for a cop and - no big deal.

There is only one former poster on this forum that could have defined the difference. If you support one and not the other you're a defined hypocrite

This was handled as it should be - public shaming of the business so they don't do it again.

We do not need the government getting involved.

I posted that article because I believe it's the beginning of a trend.  The fact that a Walmart employee had the audacity to deem that cake racist is indicative of how the country is moving in that direction.

Just look at what Kaepernick has spurned.  He attended a high school football game in Oakland this weekend where, during the National Anthem, one entire team laid on their backs and raised their arms up a la "hands up, don't shoot".  Never mind that the data shows the whole issue that Kaepernick has started is complete BS.  There is absolutely no data supporting the idea that cops are somehow targeting blacks unfairly.

But facts don't matter so now you have Walmart employees deciding that anything that is about cops is racist.  It's just the beginning.

This forum became too masculine for some retired members. They recoiled from the military, national defense and gun talk
