Shhhh, don't tell bamafreshkpiturd. While he is busy chasing muh russia and trying to cover up his leaders sexual depravity, Bannon is onto the next step in winning hearts and minds for the conservative cause. Will the dems ever figure out that they are NOT the party of middle America, and are NOT the party of the working class? Not seeing this on CNN today.

"Former White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon believes that a big part of his vision for economic nationalism is extending opportunities to black and Hispanic workers.

“The whole purpose of this economic nationalism and populism is to give voice to the voiceless. The deplorables are also the black and Hispanic working class,” he said in a video conversation with author Keith Koffler about his new biography of Bannon.

Bannon made his remarks after a speech in South Carolina at The Citadel, where he detailed some of his ideas.

He said he wanted inner city kids to have the chance to be fully invested in the country, by stopping illegal immigration from driving down wages, and by fixing trade deals."

Thanks to Chuck and Nancy for taking a stand. This moron in chief can't continue to lie, exaggerate and constantly berate his opponents to no consequence. He is about 90% of the problem and all this would go away if he would TRY to work with democrats. I wouldn't take his bullsh1t either. 3 more years(maybe less) of his weak ass leadership.

Shut up tool.

Anyway, quite amusing that President Trump left the empty chairs prominently displayed to remind the readers that Chancy are two petulant careerist children. They are despicable.

Chuck and Nancy are going to pay for shutting down the government.  People need the government.  It has vital services and free ambulance rides.

Love watching deweyfresh get mired in talking points and dark web. Keep your eyes off the prize, boys. #MAGA

"A “right-wing takeover of the court system” has been “the objective of every Republican president since Ronald Reagan,” Paul Butler writes in the Guardian. Donald Trump has distinguished himself from his GOP predecessors “only by his success at transforming the federal bench so early in his term.”

From the Guardian:

Donald Trump has nominated an unprecedented number of judges to federal courts since his appointment. These are making steady progress through the Senate confirmation process and yet they have escaped the sort of scrutiny that Trump normally attracts. This is unfortunate, because the impact of Trump’s court picks will be profound, and will help reshape American society for years to come.

Of the nearly 60 judges he has nominated, only one is black, one is Hispanic and three are women. The rest are white men. All of these people are conservatives who will be interpreting and helping (re)write the law for decades.

The claim that Trump has not accomplished much in his first year in office is dead wrong. He is fashioning the federal court system of Steve Bannon’s dreams. The president has nominated judges who will cut back the civil rights of racial minorities and LGBT people, expand the power of police and prosecutors, restrict the ability of women to obtain abortions and favor big corporations over consumers.

Trump took office facing a backlog of 114 judicial appointments – the most of any president since Bill Clinton. This was not a coincidence but rather the product of a calculated project by Republicans in the US Congress to deny Barack Obama his authority to appoint judges. In a bold power play, Senate Republicans, who must confirm judicial nominees, simply refused to vote on most of Obama’s selections during the last year of his presidency. They were, in effect, waiting for Trump."

The U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed President Donald Trump’s choice of Judge Leonard Steven Grasz to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, rejecting the far-left American Bar Association’s (ABA) statement that Grasz was not qualified to be a federal appeals judge.

Grasz has been outspokenly pro-life and played a leading role in 2000 as Nebraska’s chief deputy attorney general in trying to persuade the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold his state’s ban on partial-birth abortions.

MAGA, baby.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin called President Trump on Sunday to thank him for providing intelligence that helped thwart a planned terror attack in St. Petersburg, the White House says.

The call was confirmed to Fox News and other news outlets early Saturday afternoon by White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, who later said the intelligence was a CIA tip related to a series of planned bombings.

Sanders later released a “readout” of the call that stated the leaders agreed while talking that the sharing of the tip “serves as an example of the positive things that can occur when our countries work together.”

She also said Putin thanked Central Intelligence Agency Director Mike Pompeo and the entire department.

The Kremlin said Putin told Trump during the call that the information provided by the CIA also was sufficient to track down and detain a group of suspects that was planning to bomb the Kazan Cathedral and other sites in the city.

Sanders confirmed that suspects had been captured.

The Kremlin also said Russian law enforcement agencies will hand over any information they get about potential terror threats against the United States, as they have done in the past."

"American optimism about the economy is soaring.

For the first time on record, more than half the respondents to CNBC’s All-American Economic Survey rate the economy as good or excellent. Nearly 41 percent say they expect the economy to be better a year from now, near a record high. Combined, this is the most optimistic result since the CNBC survey was launched 11 years ago.

The improvement in both outlook and current sentiment traces to the election of Donald Trump in November 2016. After years of declining outlook numbers and stagnant views of the state of the economy, American views on the economy have been improving at a startling pace.

“We’re not measuring a marginal change in the economy, we’re measuring a different economy,” pollster Micah Roberts told CNBC’s Steve Liesman. “2017 is the year that Americans finally put the recession behind them in terms of their attitudes about the economy, and it took a change in leadership.”
