She shouldn't be underestimated.  In some ways, she is very much like Trump in terms of how she's commanding social media.

She uses a lot of the same tricks and techniques that Trump uses for attention.

Sounds like now AOC is going to be getting her own movie.  Saw a quick blurb about her being in Sundance, or going to Sundance and the director.

Honestly for a socialist, she has a lot to like about her.  I like her telling it straight.

I like that she was a bartender and is able to relate her bartending experience forward to her political discussions now.  This is something that Trump does very naturally and it makes them relatable.

The immoral to make money is stupid.  The environment will end the earth in 12 years is stupid as well. But those speak directly to a large base of people in the US that feel the dems do not talk to their needs.

She is way better at this than Bernie was.  You knew Bernie was only in it to sell out.

In this movie, will there be dancing, crazy eyes, sessy hair flying, and snug T shirts? Just asking for a friend.

Hard turn to the left for the Dems coming up.

Was it worth it?  The sexy dancing.  The train pulling.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was the lone House Democrat to vote against a bill to reopen the government on Wednesday, a position she described as “a tough/nuanced call,” The Hill reported.

The short-term measure included funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which Ocasio-Cortez explained in an Instagram story is opposed by many people she represents.

“Most of our votes are pretty straightforward, but today was a tough/nuanced call,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “We didn’t vote with the party because one of the spending bills included ICE funding and our community felt strongly about not funding that.”

Cares more about illegals than American Federal employees

At least she is honest about it.

This woman is the perfect poster child for the cluelessness running the democrat's movement right now.  She's single-handedly running people away from the democrat's party.

She's actually being called down by the dem hierarchy. They aren't happy with the showboating and aren't following her anywhere. Anything she can bring to the table will be considered, but she has some extreme positions that will not be well supported. She's fringe and, as usual, you'd love to characterize her as centrist progressive. She isn't.

She is pulling the party to the left, and I'm betting about to get steamrolled by Pelosi because of her antics. When that happens and she turns to her social media followers, look for a bigger revolt than what happened after Bernie.

Yeah, social media really has Pelosi worried. AOC will settle down, grow up and with her intelligence and heart, help reform the nation from the right wing conspiracy nonsense that trump has encouraged. You guys won't like it, but we'll be better for it. Can't believe Woody said he'd rather pay $3000 a year in insurance premiums versus $2000 a year in taxes for universal Medicare or single payer plans. Crazy talk.

Time to for the super delegates to take a hike and quit scamming the non-intelligent in America.

Yeah, well, sucks for you, this is an AOC thread and you'll just have to deal with it for a while.

We all have seen the billionaire on city council right?

the problem is that Woody, like many of us, would subsidize folks who do nothing, contribute nothing, and take everything for free.

Ain't a very fair system to forcibly take from one, and hand out to the other.  Some of us would rather work and pay our way.

You weren't around here then, but I did that with health insurance.  It didn't matter how bad it hurt - and it did hurt bad - I wouldn't accept a handout.

I eventually changed jobs because of it.

Whatever it cost.  AOC is one of the dumbest people ever elected to Congress.  She is willing to have the government pay people who are unwilling to work.  Unbelievable.

You fell for the falsehoods. You were tricked by Conservative trolls.

It occurs to me that Dems are the ones that seem to have opened themselves to non stop being ridicule by trolls on the internet.  It is some funny sh1t.

Their statements are loose and without thought.  They are so desperate to counter the off the cuff on the spot, spot on comments coming from the big orange meany.  They have no choice but  to spout off platitudes.

The problem is to sell where the current democrat narrative is you have to have a subtle multilayers build up.  It is built on language nuances.  Those collapse down once you try to make a simple direct statement, one that people can understand and take a face value.

The globalist republicans had that same problem.  Post Bush 1, it has really kept them in a hard corner, unable to counter-punch direct attacks.  Trump is ridiculed by this crowd, because he realized early on, that you have to unwind that dung heap, that the dung heap itself was the problem.

Are they now saying the a Free Message Chair is not a part of the GND?  That really sucks, it was the only thing in the GND that was for me.

I think you got caught trying to mislead. Sometimes it catches on, like Obama being born in Africa, and sometimes it fails miserably.

Hockett: “It appears there was more than one document being discussed yesterday, only one of which I had heard about with any definiteness by last evening after a long day of media appearances – namely, the one referred to by the Congresswoman in her tweet,” Hockett wrote. “I regret that we seem unknowingly to have ended up speaking about different documents for a minute during our longer and otherwise ‘on-the-same-page’ conversation last night.”

AOC: "There are multiple doctored GND resolutions and FAQs floating around," she wrote. "There was also a draft version that got uploaded + taken down. There’s also draft versions floating out there."

They published a "Socialist Wish List".   It has thrown the democrats into turmoil. The rollout was a disaster.

Remember the leading Global Warming scientist, NASA researcher James Hansen, in 2010 claimed the world had 10 years to live.  That of course has come and gone.

I am not in favor of subsidizing anyone who sits on their a.. and wait for others to take care of them.  I'm talking about those of working age and not disabled.  It is not my job to take care of lazy a..es.  I am in favor of helping via tax incentives or similar to help those who bust butt and work.  If my mom and dad didn't take it, no one should.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ocasio-cortez-adviser-admits-he-falsely-claimed-green-new-deal-didnt-promise-security-for-those-unwilling-to-work

A top adviser to New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has admitted that an official "Green New Deal" document posted by Ocasio-Cortez's office contained a guarantee of economic security even for those "unwilling to work" -- but not before he went viral in progressive circles for claiming the exact opposite, repeatedly, in an interview with Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight."
