Makinzy Herzog is named Gatorade Texas player of the year.  She is headed to FSU this year, anyone know what position she will play?  She is apparently an all around great athlete.

Going back to the archives for a little fun.  Fake Lefty probably wants this post back.

As a sophomore?  Is that normal, what is the level of play in Arkansas like?

As one who posts frequently in this thread, and follows the ACC, I am very happy about FSU’s victory. With a new ESPN deal, great coaches coming in, Duke and Clemson lurking, I firmly believe that this a conference to be reckoned with in the future. Thank you FSU for leading the way! As for the rest, let’s get to work.

I am going to call it now... Travis Wilson next coach at Louisville.  He has been ready a couple years now and his stock is high now.

Congrats to FSU before the tourney started I thought FSU was a solid consistent team..... I think I had you ranked like 5-6 area. You guys play better when you backs to the wall. Your batting was as impressive as I have seen this year. Congrats for beating a team we couldn’t this year.

Does he have a degree? I believe that’s a requirement to be a division 1 head coach, no?

I am not sure, but isn't Craig Snider from Kentucky?

ACC wins National Championship, Duke just finished first season, Clemson on board next year, all new ACC Network..the Miami Hurricanes need to find a way to get in on this softball thing...a lot of momentum right now for softball in the ACC, they need to stop making excuses and bring softball to South Beach.

ACC is a one team league right now. FSU figured out how to compensate for that and prepare themselves to compete with the top teams in the country.

Travis isn't going anywhere. With no degree, no head coach position - besides things are looking bright at FSU so why leave his asst. coach position??

Not much happening in that part of the country for Head Coach positions. His wife is from Texas though. If he's even interested in leaving FSU would love to see him kick start the UTexas program back to life.

Louisville's coach retired yesterday, so that spot is open.

Not saying Craig is up for it or would take it, but there is a pretty visible spot open in his home state.

Sorry, I so meant to say Craig, not Travis.  Had the name Travis on the brain. I feel sure he will be the next Louisville Head Coach.

Snider is from Kentucky. Louisville would be crazy to not bring him in! But again I hope he stays because this staff is onto something!
