I am an Auburn guy, so I love the small college town atmosphere, but I am sure there are just as many people who prefer a larger city atmosphere.  Other than the Varsity, I am not sure there are many other things that would make me want to live in downtown Atlanta...but with East Ponce making a comeback GT could be in a nicer area of town in a few years.  Just not sure it is going to happen in my lifetime.

We need to spend some time together in Atlanta. It's my favorite city in the US (weird I know) but I miss all my hole in the wall places.

Clemson gonna come in and run this conference immediately. Will easily be 2nd best program behind FSU

why not? good recruiting area and no other ACC program is doing anything. Clemson supports baseball good so they will get behind softball.

With the right coaching hire Clemson can make some noise early. GA is a hotbed for recruiting and Clemson has always pulled a large number of GA students, and their academic standards are a lot closer to FSU's than they are to Duke's...

northball, it initially struck me as funny. Actually you may be more right than you know. With Duke then Clemson coming on board, ACC needs some new blood. Looking forward to both being competitive.

Clemson will have more of an immediate impact than Duke . As mentioned above, recruiting and University support will strong for sure.  I can't wait for Clemson to field a team.  Has Duke replaced either assistant coaches yet? That whole situation is strange to me.  I know Chidester realized her passion was in playing and not coaching, but Kantor ????  Should be some interesting movement in the ACC between new assistance being hired, GT naming a new coach, and Clemson should be conducting interviews soon.

Clemson's immediate success will be determined by who they hire, ie; someone who can successfully tap into the SC & UGA pipeline, along with a few seasoned transfers, sure they'll win quicker. Duke is having no shortage of interest from quality recruits & transfers...it's just some won't qualify for admission. Clemson on the other hand won't have the academic challenges Duke/UVA/GT have.

Duke will have 17 kids, beginning Fall Semester. As far as new Assist. I haven't heard or seen any news on that. Chidester leaving was understandable, Kantors' departure was sort of a head scratcher. Be curious to know why she left.
