White House B-Balls Adorned With The One’s Image

by Keith Koffler on April 9, 2012, 1:01 pm

As part of its Easter Egg Roll festivities, the White House is conducting a basketball clinic for kids featuring pro players. Have a look the ball being used, as Tweeted by ABC White House Correspondent Jake Tapper.

Apparently, the basketball lesson doesn’t include instruction in humility.

Grizzly - Why would you want to kick it?  You know, he probably signed some autographs too.

Right Wing blogger keith koffler twisted the story so bad other right bloggers even mocked him.

The white house event had easter egg hunt, "shoot for strength" event with former nba players and harlem globetrotters, and tennis event with chris everett and others. When the kids sank shots the president and other ballers had to do pushups and vice versa.

What bloggers and news (right/ left/ other) did make fun of was obama shooting bricks. His shooting was sad. He came up empty most shots which pretty much somes up his presidency.

The NBA players brought the balls with obama's face on it that were signed and given away as sovenirs of the "shoot for stregth" event. Years ago they gave away softballs and baseball at the Bush events that were signed (too small for his face I guess).......so Topps, maker of baseball cards since 1938 did a presidential Bush card (throwing out a pitch) in 2004, and another one of him throwing out a pitch in 2005, and last summer they released another Bush card featuring him throwing out a pitch at world series (unlike the other 2 which are regular sorted cards this is a chase card, limited to 200, and all are signed by him). So you can still buy packs from last season topps release and maybe get a Bush card.....worth about $500. The 2011 set also has an obama card of him throwing out an opening day pitch but it is a regular card in the set not a limited to 200 personally signed chase card. Upperdeck (competitors of topps in sports card market) made a presidential pitch card in their 2009 set featuring Bush from baseball opening day pitch in 2008.

It isn't about being humble or not as a president...it is about others making collectables with you on them. Bush wins that battle vs obama.
