I say good luck to Lee at Southern! Well deserved promotion and he will bring up the level of that program. I will assume that the posters who are worried about his weight and appearance all have wash-board, 6-pack abs with the dashing good lucks of George Clooney or Stacie Kiebler. Let he/she who is without blemish cast the first stone. Personally, I will work on my own appearance, keep my stones to myself, and wish Lee all the luck in the world.

Bruister from Texas woman's resigned. He led them to the NCAA D2 national tournament. My guess is he got the UNT job.

At this rate, Penn State and Liberty may be asking Santa to bring them a coach.

Any news from any of the other schools.  Does anyone know where Montana is on their search?  Portland State?

I think if anyone can get that program where they need to be, Dot Richardson can.
I loved her interview about her interest in integrating the game and the great man upstairs into the game. Some may disagree but what a great hire and I think she will be fantastic.

Agree. Someone wrote on here recently that LU was failing in its search process. This hire suggests they knew precisely who they wanted. This is a perfect hire for the bible-based school with big time athletic ambitions. Look for football to go 1A in the next 3 years.

Great for Aileen Morales at Young Harris. Awesome young coach with a lot of potential. Any news on her former boss Perkins?

Fun fact: She will be coaching in a new (to her) conference next spring for the fourth year in a row.
2011 - Atlantic Sun (Jacksonville); 2012 - Southland (UTSA); 2013 - WAC (UTSA); 2014 - Big Ten (Penn State)

EDIT: This would also have been true had she stayed put with UTSA moving to Conference USA.

Any ideas/thoughts on the assistant coaches these new head coaches will be bringing in?

Who will fill the final staff position at GT? Heard rumors but nothing concrete.

Who will Lehotek bring with her?

How will these affect the rest of the softball world?

When would a player expect to hear from their new coach after they have been introduced as the new head coach?  Anyone with any experience on this?

The team will know before any formal announcement is made. Players are asked for their input on coaching selection process and often upperclassmen will sit in on interviews.
