The  'Scarecrow' event of my daughter's four years.

Just the greatest softball tournament ever.

I kinda liked JV Week mainly bc it gave me more softball but also because it allowed me to pay attention to some of the smaller schools.  But I'll take Varsity week every time.

I'm ready to know the teams and schedules.

Because Long Island University, Bethune Cookman and St John's to name a few are Varsity and the others are JV?  Seriously stupid comment.

JV Week...you guys are douche bags.  Why would you pay attention to smaller schools when you call them JV?

I was going off the previous terminology which I think plays off of two situations.  Week 1 only had half the teams the second week had.  And in most cases they are smaller schools - and maybe some distaste that some of the bigger P5s used Week 1 to pad their stats so it looked like they did phenomenal at MNC.

But as to your question, I love watching the smaller schools but at the  MNC Week 2 it was just more difficult for me to get to Des Moines to watch those games.  I like those games because usually they have some decent players in those games.  It's where i got to watch Cal Poly and Anna Cahn or LBSU and Erin Jones-Wesley.

Heard through the grapevine that some teams that would have done the cancelled week of MN will be hosted by UCLA. Great idea, home games for UCLA!

All of UCLA''s MNC games are home games, aren't they? I mean, UCLA has last ups in all of its MNC games.

One of the two "back" fields at MNC.  The other being Pawtucket.

Ahh, I thought you meant Iowa.   I've never been to MNC obviously.

Uh...I meant literally on their home playing field.
I have no idea who is home and who isn’t at MNC. Everyone gets the same amount of innings to score, that I know.

Sure, everybody has the same opportunities to score. But batting last is an advantage; you're the only team that can walk off with a win. So, UCLA being home in all the MNC games is an edge -- one that nobody else gets to my knowledge.

I'll take Hyland over Cahn any day. If the offense/dense had been better they would have beaten my ducks.
