Don't forget number #1 seed CWS participant. That's rough.

Wow the coaches aren't totally on crack. Watch out for that drop from 3 to 4. It's a doozy.

Solid by the coaches, too bad the conference cannot remember which team played in the championship series though. Now the PAC12 officiating makes more sense.....

Okay, but the team UCLA lost twice to, is the same team UDub lost twice to also. And since UDub was swept by UCLA in conference, PREseason nod seems reasonable.

I have zero issue with how the coaches voted. I was referencing the article, which states UCLA was in the championship last year. Probably won't be long until someone on Montlake is calling

"UCLA was voted first in the 2019 Pac-12 Softball Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the Conference office today. The Bruins garnered 61 points and five first-place votes to sit atop the poll after advancing to the Women’s College World Series Championship game last June."

And this comes directly from the "official site of the PAC-12 conference".
How on earth... do they get THAT wrong???

I tend to think of "fake news" as something that is done to intentionally mislead people.

The bad information in the sentence above (from the "official site of the PAC-12 conference")...
is just someone doing a VERY BAD JOB.

How hard is it to simply CHECK which teams were actually in the WCWS championship game last June...???
And why wouldn't the person writing this article simply KNOW which teams were in it (without even having to check it)..??

You would think the person assigned to write this particular article - would  at least  be a fan of college softball.

I'd say the coaches voted quite reasonably.

If Oregon can manage to somehow finish 7th - that will be a good job.
If they could get to 5th - that would be an excellent job.

I am a Husky fan, so definitely not a Oregon Duck supporter. But I believe that ML will indeed 'coach up' the players she has into a competent PAC-12 team, and they will play better than Utah and probably Stanford (they'll definitely be ahead of Washington State and USC). If her expertise is in pitching, then she will produce a pitcher who can win games.

This year, maybe top 4 :) actually i think osu, cal and ASU will be competent. Stanford, utah and or just dont have the talent (especially pitching talent) to compete.

The bottom teams in this Pac12 poll define why the SEC is the stronger conference. There are no teams in the SEC as weak as the bottom 3 in the Pac12
