JMU will be looking for pitching before the trade deadline...

Top 10 program has 1 pitcher...how does that happen??

Thankfully, UVA is not a threat but, RPI will come back to haunt them possibly. Still plenty of time to get it worked out I guess.

Not an upset, but kinda surprising -- Oregon beats Portland St., but just 3-1 and Ducks were out hit by RPI #249.

3-1 scores have been better to UO than they have been to OU

Cheeky.

Don't think any of OU's involve RPI #249.

No-win situation. Coach puts all the kids in who don't play and the team seems to play down to the opponent.

That said, W is a W.

All held equal.... I would have rather torrential rain in Eugene tonight, though

Was thinking that Viginia Tech losing two at home to Elon would have to qualify as an upset, but then I checked the RPI. Tough year for the ACC. Yikes.

158 Maryland with its third win over a top 50 team, topping 44 Northwestern.... wonder the last time a 150+ had three such wins

Northwestern is no longer a top 50 program. Beyond bad how poorly the team is coached and how far this program has declined in recent years. I see NW between 60-75 RPI at end of year.

Um, can any of you SEC brethren explain to me how FSU allowed that many Syracuse runs this weekend? What's going on with the Noles pitching?

LOL... whatever... they are 44 in RPI.

The question still stands. My guess is that the answer is no

Is Selman better at Baylor than she was at LSU. I've seen her once pitching for Baylor, but I just remember her being a step-down at LSU.  Glad she moved and got her starting role and is doing well.

TXST beats #12 Baylor tonight 1-0 in San Marcos. Randi Rupp throws a complete game giving up just 3 singles. Huge win heading into the weekend series with Louisiana.

She's the definite ace for this squad and has improved so much since last season, in which she only pitched 48 innings. She was 18-3 going into this game with a 1.32 ERA. She has wins against Louisiana, UCLA, Washington, and Michigan this season.

She flashed the potential like her game 3 in Gainesville but she was mostly lost in the shuffle behind Carley, Allie, and with Sidney coming in. She's cut down on walks this season and I think not having to look over her shoulder has given her more confidence. I'm really happy she's succeeding there.

Ricci would be a great replacement for teflon Connie at Texas. And she could bring Cat with her and Texas fans would be happy.

And eventually take over the program which would make her happy.

Is this your plea to keep Walton and, more importantly, Rocha in place?

I expect it to be a great series like it usually is, and probably relatively low scoring games. I don't think either team can afford to not make the plays that are there to be made (either mental or physical errors). TXST has a little better pitching, and the Cajuns have a little better hitting, but both teams have folks who can hit the long ball so games can come down to one swing.

I'm hoping to see an article in June or July that says Clark's contract not being renewed for next season thanks for your service!  It would be fun to see if Cat Osterman can translate P5 pitchers into superstars, and maybe that coach Woodard would be a good one?

Good summation, especially on the mental and physical errors. Those will probably end up being the difference in who wins and who loses. I will be there to see!
