Mizzou & Charleston Southern tied 3-3 B5...

I am not sure its an upset. JMU has some pitching and hitting. Washington beating Auburn is not an upset depending on who is pitching for Udub.

North Florida over FAU 13-4 in 5 innings.  I don't follow either team, but that seems like a surprising score.  Justin's blog has FAU projected as #1 in its division of CUSA.

I don't think the JMU win is an upset either, but I am surprised Mizzou is struggling today.

update: Mizzou plates 1 in T7 to beat Charleston Southern 4-3...

How do you call a SR team beating a barely regional team an upset? That's the Power 5 mentality that sometimes sucks.

This was actually a great game to watch. Fordham's only run came off of a solo homerun. Other than that it was a tough pitching duel.

Actually kinda surprised about the Oklahoma/Auburn game but then again it was the first game of the season with a lot of emotions in a rematch.

Jayrot,

If you're talking to me, I see two upsets so far - North Florida and Fordham. All others listed are surprising to me (esp. Washington over Auburn, though not an upset).

No was just in general. Not directed at anyone specifically.

Sorry, just need to vent, so ignore this post!

Can Georgia Tech fire Hoerner now!  Like don't even let her make the trip back to Atlanta.  Just let her go and that entire awful staff.  There are so many better options out there, and I'd rather see a freshman bench player coach this team than Hoerner continue to run this program into the ground.  If she gets 10 wins this year, that will be the true surprise.

Not disagreeing, but Tech's athletic finances have been a mess of late.  She's in the last year of her contract so I'd say you have about 90 days to wait.

Is this where I say screw you Radkovich?

I can't wait 90 days. Give her the money and let her sit at home. She's just as useful there. Was just remenscing that it's been almost 7 years since tech was in a super regional. God, I hope the next hire is worthwhile.

Don't know if it's really an upset but LBSU over ND in 9 looks nice for the 49ers.

Penn State is up on LSU 7-3 in B6.

Pretty sure this would be an upset.

LSU walked 7, plus hit one batter and had 2 passed balls with runners on 3rd.  That, and a couple of timely hits with those walked batters on base meant Penn State took advantage, and did what it needed to do to win the game.

LSU did strike out 13 batters, but too little too late.

But LSU's pitchers can balance on work out bouncy balls while still throwing. You mean to tell me that stuff doesn't help in games?
