Team USA pitchers pitched the fewest innings and had the most run support.
Ricketts was only USA pitcher to throw 13 or more innings in the 10 games.

Jordan taylor pitched 8.1 innings, a no-hitter, 13 k, 2 hits, and 2 wins. Didn't pitch in playoffs. 0.00 era.

Chelsea thomas pitched in 5 games including twice in playoffs. 12.1 innings pitched, 11 hits, 17 k, 2 wins. 0.00 era.

Traina pitched in 2 games in bracket round robin play. Started 1 game. Total of 6.2 innings. 3 hits, 10 k, 1 win.
In playoffs she started 1 game and pitched in championship game and got the loss. 0 wins
3.2 innings pitched, 2 hits, 4 k, 1 earned run, 1.91 era.

Ricketts started and finished 2 games.11 innings. 1 hit, 10 k, 2 wins.
In playoffs she started 2 games and got a no decision in championship game. 2 wins.
16 innings pitched, 10 hits, 15 k, 4 earned runs, 1.75 era.

Ueno Yukiko started and finished 3 games including a 10 inning no-hitter. 24 innings, 10 hits, 20 k, 3 wins.
In playoffs she started 4 games and finished all 4. 3-1 record and championship win.
32 innings pitched, 17 hits, 33 k, 2 earned runs, 0.44 era.

Parnaby pitched in 4 games--started 2. 10 innings, 4 hits, 0 runs, 9 k, 2 wins.
In playoffs she started 2 games and got 3 wins.
12.2 innings pitched, 10 hits, 16 k, 2 earned runs, 1.11 era.

Li Qi pitched in 4 games in round robin. total 12 innings. 4 hits, 26 k, 1 win and 2 saves.
In playoffs she started 2 games and finished 1.
11 innings pitched, 7 hits, 11 k, 2 earned runs, 1.27 era.

The voting was by TFS and the coaches.
All the pitchers chosen pitched 20+ innings. Traina barely pitched 10.
USA outside of ricketts pitched as a team and the awesome batting outscored opponents 64-0 in bracket play with over half run ruled.
China had crappy run support and relied on pitching to win. They were the LSU of the world championships. Losing games 1-0 because you can't score.
Based on stats she was 4th best american pitcher and not a top 5 pitcher in the world at the tourney. Next year will be a different story for her............and she will be around on team when softball is back in olympics to get a gold medal.
